Hainrode is the headquarter of the regional tourist association with the name “Hainleite e.V. ”, that consists of 11 communities of the district Nordhausen and Kyffhäuser. Their aim is it to support the tourism in the Hainleite-Region.  

In the 70s of the last century Hainrode gained supraregional importance because of its recreation park with the name “Teichtal” and its camping site in a wonderful landscape with climatic attraction. In 1989 it got the title “Officially Recognized Holiday Resort”.
